Cerebos 2016 Employee of the Year Awards
In February 2016 Cerebos FCD held our annual Employee of the Year award, celebrating the great work and acheivements of our people across the Cerebos Food and Coffee Division.
The 25 finalists in Australia and New Zealand were invited to a very special celebratory award night in their respective country.
The awards night in Australia was held at the scenic and secluded Sergeants Mess restaurant, nestled in a bushland setting in Mosman, with magnificent water views over Sydney harbour. Throughout the evening the achievements of our finalists were read out, with everyone in the room humbled by the talent and strength of our people. Finally, the highlight of the evening was the announcement of our three runners up: Suraj Khadgi, Brett Dedman and Gillian O’Brien, and our winner of Employee of the Year 2016 for Australia, Scott Mitchell. Scott, in the role as National Business Manager for Coles, won his award for making the single biggest impact on company results. He exceeded his budget and stretch targets, delivered the fastest Retail Customer growth and put a halt the spend creep. It was fantastic to recognise his achievements.
The New Zealand awards night was held in Auckland, at one of Auckland’s top restaurants, The Grove. The finalists attending the dinner were lucky enough to enjoy a menu using a range of our own products and designed specifically for Cerebos, by Head Chef Benjamin Bayly who has previously worked in a number of Michelin star restaurants in London and France. Once again, the night culiminated with the announcement of the runners up: Krithik Ranganathan, Scott Pepler and Rachel Murrell, and the winner of Employee of the Year 2016 for New Zealand, Glenys Fraser. Glenys is the Operations Manager at the Dunedin factory and has been with the business for 39 years! She is the heart and soul of the Dunedin plant and her hard work and dedication resulted in a very successful year in 2016. Her achievements include the completion of the factory refurbishment, overseeing a culture change that has led to an increase in Good Manufacturing Process and the mentoring and development of her team. Once again, it was wonderful to celebrate her achievements.
